José María Rodríguez ParajaInternational and Procurement
José María Rodríguez Paraja previously served as Technical Advisor to the Board of Directors and advised management on technical and strategic issues relating to the company’s solar activities. As a founding member of GA Solar, Mr. Paraja is a recognized leader and pioneer in the solar industry. In just three years at GA Solar, Mr. Paraja drove the company from start up to over 225MW of grid-connected projects, developed a pipeline of over 800MW, raised over a billion dollars in project financing and returned a profit in excess of $200 million. After positioning the company as a leader in the solar PV sector within Spain, Mr. Paraja, then oversaw the expansion of its international business units, establishing operations in Italy, the United States and India. Successfully securing financing for all of GA Solar projects, Mr. Paraja comes to Astonfield with a deep understanding of the interworking of project financing for utility-scale projects.
Prior to GA Solar, he ran Gamesa Energia’s sales and marketing department where he was responsible for all sales and trading activities in their Wind energy sector. He has also held managerial roles at Enron London-Madrid, Centrica Energia and BHP Billiton.
Mr. Paraja holds a Bachelors Degree in Law from the Universidad de Oviedo (Asturias), a Masters in Maritime Business and Law from the Universidad de Oviedo y el Instituto Europeo de Estudios Marítimos (Gijón) and a Masters in Finance and Tax from the Universidad de Oviedo (Oviedo).
Aparna DoshiHuman Resources and Strategy
Aparna Doshi oversees the corporate and operations strategy of Astonfield. She works with technical partners and the finance and operations team to ensure seamless execution on the company’s portfolio. Furthermore, she works with the leadership team to set Astonfield’s strategy. Prior to joining Astonfield, Mrs. Doshi worked as a management consultant with Katzenbach Partners, where she worked closely with senior executive teams in Fortune 50 companies to redefine their strategy, drive large change management initiatives and deliver breakthrough financial and operational results. Aparna began her career at DLJ. She subsequently joined a high-growth emerging company in London, NetDecision, where she helped scale the organization to 1,500 people in a two year timeframe. Aparna earned her Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and her Bachelors in Law from Nottingham University.
Allison SenCorporate Communications
Allison Sen develops and oversees the execution of Astonfield’s communication strategy, including PR, marketing, advertising and media communications. Mrs. Sen brings a diverse marketing background to the Astonfield team, which included special interest lobbying, live entertainment promotions and most recently pharmaceutical advertising. Before joining Astonfield, Mrs. Sen worked as an account executive for Euro RSCG Life Worldwide, a global healthcare communications firm specializing in building brands in the health sector, where she managed the marketing and public relations campaigns for pharmaceutical and bio-technology companies. She began her career at FELD Entertainment, a marketing group focusing on multinational entertainment and media companies. Mrs. Sen received an undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Minnesota, where she was awarded the Sieur Du Luth award for outstanding leadership and service to the university community.
Hemantha ParvatharajStrategic Initiatives and Global Compliance
Mr. Parvatharaj oversees the development and implementation of the company's global strategic initiatives, including engaging with government stakeholders, NGOs and business partners. He also oversees compliance and operational risk management of Astonfield's existing operations. Mr. Parvatharaj is the Founder and Principal of Rubicon Management Solutions, LLC ("Rubicon"), which he established in 2013 to provide advisory services in compliance, regulatory supervision and operational risk management. Prior to this, he spent 16 years in the financial services industry holding various compliance and regulatory supervision positions at Prudential Financial.
Mr. Parvatharaj earned a B.A. in International Relations from Lehigh University in 1990, and earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1993. He is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
Dr. Harinder Mishra (Ph.D.)Corporate Affairs
Harinder Mishra works closely with Sourabh Sen in government affairs and business development to bridge between developing relationships and receiving allocation. Having completed his doctorate studies at the Centre for West Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Dr. Mishra has been teaching at Hebrew and Tel Aviv University in Israel for the last eight years. Despite his full-time engagement in academia, he has been closely connected to the media scene, having worked as a sub-editor & news monitor at All India Radio for six years during his student days. After coming to Israel in 2000, he continued writing for various newspapers on political and social developments in India and the Middle East. In Feb. 2004 India's Premier news agency, Press Trust of India (PTI) appointed him its Jerusalem correspondent. Dr. Mishra is concurrently working for BBC and DW as well. Dr. Mishra is based in Tel Aviv but travels extensively throughout India.
