Ameet ShahCo-Founder and Co-Chairman

Ameet Shah brings considerable experience in executing and implementing complex projects. He works with Astonfield’s financial, technical and government partners to ensure profitability of each individual project, ultimately leading to successful implementation. Under Mr. Shah’s leadership, Astonfield has been able to form important partnerships with leading IPPs such as T-Solar of Spain as well as international engineering, procurement and construction companies (EPCs) such as Isolux Corsan of Spain, juwi of Germany and Schneider Electric of France.

Mr. Shah is the founder and Managing Partner of Mosaic Capital Advisors. Prior to Mosaic, Mr. Shah worked at HSBC Asset Management Limited in various roles in Hong Kong, London and New York. He subsequently moved to Salomon Brothers in Hong Kong and joined the investment team that oversaw the Salomon Brothers Asia Growth Fund. Mr. Shah is an Economics graduate of Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge. He is currently a member of the United States Department of Commerce’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee since December 2012.

Sourabh Sen Co-Founder and Co-Chairman

Sourabh Sen is the Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of the Astonfield Group of Companies. Since starting Astonfield Renewables in 2006, Sourabh has seen the renewable energy story in the emerging markets transform from a nascent sector to a booming industry force, and has grown Astonfield’s presence in the emerging markets accordingly. He oversees Astonfield’s global government affairs and policy development, drives strategic initiatives, and governs the macro direction of the Company.

Sourabh has been a featured energy columnist in a number of notable publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, and Renewable Energy World. He is also a regular speaker at energy and sustainability conferences globally, and sits on a number of high level advisory committees. Most recently he was appointed to the E15 Expert Committee on Climate Change, a panel of global thought leaders brought together by the International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) and the World Economic Forum.

Sourabh was awarded the 2013 Man of the Year Award from Viki Publishers and Byatikram Mass Awareness and Social Development Organization (MASDO), an NGO dedicated to strengthening social and cultural richness in India. He was also honored with the 2009 Udyog Rattan Award from the Institute of Economic Studies for his pioneering contributions toward developing the renewable energy industry in India.

Prior to starting Astonfield, Sourabh led an established career as a Wall Street executive. He served as Executive Vice President of National Life Insurance Company, and prior to that, was Executive Vice President for First Investors Corporation.

As an alumnus of Don Bosco Schools, Sourabh is actively involved in a number of charitable and humanitarian causes in India. Additionally, Sourabh is on the Board of Advisors of The Odyssey Initiative, an educational based firm studying primary schools across America. Sourabh completed his B.Sc. from the University of Burdhwan. He was Board certified and admitted to practice financial advisory and planning services in the U.S. in 1996.

Atiq S. Anjarwalla

Atiq S. Anjarwalla is a Masters of Law graduate from Jesus College, University of Cambridge, England, having obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hull, England. He practiced as a Solicitor in England for over 8 years with leading City of London firms, Slaughter and May and CMS Cameron McKenna before returning to Kenya. He is presently practicing as a partner with the firm of Anjarwalla & Khanna, Advocates.
 
Mr. Anjarwalla has over 25 years practice experience and focuses principally on infrastructure projects, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, banking and capital markets. He has also been involved in projects in various sectors including transport, energy and telecommunications. Mr. Anjarwalla has been nominated as a leading project finance practitioner in Euromoney Guide to the World’s Leading Project Finance Lawyers 2010. Mr. Anjarwalla has for the last decade been rated as a leading lawyer in Kenya by various international legal guides including Chambers Global, Legal 500, IFLR1000, PLC Which Lawyer and Best Lawyers.

Thomas H. Bilodeau, III

Thomas H. Bilodeau, III, is a partner in the firm of Rich May, a professional corporation, located in Boston, Massachusetts, where he serves as chair of the firm’s Investment Management Practice. Tom also concentrates on corporate, commercial, and securities law. He is a graduate of Boston College Law School (J.D., 1996, cum laude) and Bowdoin College (B.A., 1990, Government and Legal Studies). Tom’s diverse practice includes all aspects of the organization and operation of corporations, limited liability companies, general and limited partnerships and other business entities, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, the organization and operation of investment advisors, hedge funds and commodities funds and related regulatory and compliance matters, contracts, secured transactions and public and private financings. Tom is a member of the American, Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations and is an active member of the Board of Medicines for Humanity, a Massachusetts non-profit organization serving the needs of impoverished children worldwide. In 2008, Tom was named one of the elite lawyers in Massachusetts according to Super Lawyers, a joint publication of Boston Magazine and Law & Politics. Tom and his wife, Kelly and their three children, live in Hingham, Massachusetts.
