HistoryAstonfield Renewable Resources was founded in 2005 by Co-Chairmen Ameet Shah and Sourabh Sen to help solve the rapidly growing power crisis in emerging markets through the delivery of affordable renewable energy. Since its inception, Mr. Shah and Mr. Sen began building a world-class team of power and infrastructure industry professionals that would complement their own international finance and corporate backgrounds. Under their leadership, Astonfield has emerged as a tested pioneer, successfully deploying renewable energy solutions across emerging markets, with a core market leadership position in Solar PV in India. Astonfield commissioned its first 5MW plant at Osiyan, Rajasthan on October 15th, 2011 and has a confirmed pipeline to build an additional 275MW between 2012 and 2014.
